Wake by Lisa McMann

If you're just sitting at home with nothing to read then I suggest you check out Lisa McMann's fantastic and creative book Wake.

I've seen the book cover in the back of other books I've read multiple times. I've been curious, but never actually considered picking up the book. Well one day I was browsing the high school library catalog and came across it. I don't know what made me check it out. Maybe I was just bored, curious, and in need for something to read. I know it was during exam week. After I took my health test I looked on B&N's website for books I was interested in, then checked the school website to see if the library had it (the selection at our library is amazing - so up to date).

And so I read Wake. I didn't expect much from it to be honest, but wow was I wrong. I read the whole book (which really isn't the long) in one sitting. The story really pulled me in. It's about this girl Janie who gets sucked into people's dreams. For example, in her study hall kids are always falling asleep. And when they do, she goes blind and falls into their dream (or nightmare). It's just very interesting. I won't tell you anymore of it though. You'll just have to read it for yourself.

Yes, it is a series. A trilogy actually. The third book Gone just came out on the ninth. I'd get it, but 1) I'm not sure if Walmart'll have it and 2) I have yet to read Fade, which is at the school library, but checked out. I probably won't get it until the twenty-seventh when it's due. -_-'

  1. This does sound like a good book. Haha, and I find it amusing that you know exactly when whoever it is has to return the book so YOU can check it out. Or should I say, "heck it out". ac
